Terms of Use and Service
These terms apply when you use https://satyashield.com (the "website") or buy any service from Satya Shield, a sole proprietorship of Gourav Bisht, Najafgarh, New Delhi, Delhi, India ("Satya Shield", "we", "us"). By using the website or our services you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the website.
1. Who we are
Satya Shield helps small businesses in India get ready for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the DPDP Rules, 2025 and related cyber-safety practices. Contact: satyashield1@gmail.com · +91 87969 25824.
2. Not legal advice
2.1 Satya Shield is not a law firm, and nothing on this website, in our reports or in our documents is legal advice. Our templates are prepared with reference to the DPDP Act and Rules, but they are general documents adapted to the information you give us.
2.2 For advice on your specific situation (for example, a complaint, a breach investigation or a notice from the Data Protection Board of India), please consult an advocate.

3.1 Prices are shown before you pay. Any applicable taxes will be shown before payment.
3.2 Paid services start after we receive payment. Delivery times are given on the order page or in your agreement.
4. Your responsibilities
4.1 You must be 18 or older and use the website for a genuine business purpose.
4.2 You must give true and complete information. Our score, report and seal depend on it. We are not responsible for results based on wrong or incomplete information.
4.3 You must not misuse the website: no attempts to hack, overload, scrape or disrupt it; no false or someone else's details; no unlawful content.
5. The free risk check and report
5.1 The score and report are an awareness tool based only on your answers. They are not an audit, a certification or a guarantee of compliance.
5.2 A low risk score does not mean your business fully complies with the law, and a high score does not mean you have broken it.
6. Satya Shield Verified seal
6.1 What it means: on the date shown on the verification page, Satya Shield checked the items listed there for your business (for example: a privacy notice is published, consent is taken, a grievance contact is shown, and basic security controls are in place).
6.2 What it does not mean: the seal is not a government certificate, not a certificate from the Data Protection Board of India, CERT-In or any authority, and not a guarantee that you comply with the DPDP Act or any other law. You must not describe it as any of these.
6.3 Validity: the seal is valid only while your subscription is active and paid, and only for the website named on the verification page. Every seal must link to its page at https://satyashield.com/verify/, which shows whether it is currently valid.
6.4 Withdrawal: we may suspend or withdraw the seal, and mark it "Withdrawn" on the verification page, if your subscription lapses, if the information you gave us was false, if the checked items are no longer in place, or if the seal is misused. You must then remove it from your website within 7 days.
6.5 You may not copy, alter, resize in a misleading way, or use the seal on any other website or material.
7. Payments, cancellations and refunds
Payments, cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The website, our logo, the "Satya Shield Verified" seal, our templates, questions, reports and documents belong to Satya Shield. Documents we deliver to you after payment may be used, copied and changed for your own business only, as set out in your agreement. You may not resell them.
9. Your personal data
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Notice.
10. Limitation of liability
10.1 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the website or our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (and, for the free risk check, to ₹1,000).
10.2 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for penalties or claims arising from your own acts, omissions or incorrect information.
10.3 Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or our liability for fraud.
11. Links to other sites
The website links to other sites (for example WhatsApp, government portals). We are not responsible for their content or practices.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect orders already paid for.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to resolve any complaint through our grievance process (see Contact). The courts at Delhi have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.

15. Reviews and questions
15.1 Genuine reviews only. Write a review only about your own real experience with Satya Shield. We don't write reviews ourselves, pay for reviews, or offer anything in return for a positive review.
15.2 How we moderate. We check every review before publishing it. We publish positive and negative reviews alike. We may correct obvious typos, but we never change a review's meaning. We don't publish (or we remove) reviews that are fake, abusive, defamatory, spam, not about our services, or that reveal someone's personal data.
15.3 Your consent. We publish a review only if you agreed to it, with the name, business and city you entered. Your phone number or email is never shown. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
15.4 Our replies. We may publish a short reply under a review.
15.5 Questions. We publish a question and our answer only if you allowed it, and never with your name or contact details. Our answers are general information, not legal advice.
